Mahindra’s new ace Centuro is company’s best bet yet and frankly the most important product for them as well. Launched on 1st of this month at a very luring price tag of Rs 45,000 (Read Launch Details), Centuro’s performance at the sales charts will definitely talk a lot about Mahindra’s future products and their upcoming plans.
Meanwhile, during the launch ceremony, Mahindra showcased the official TVC to us that was supposed to go on air from the 5th of this month. We haven’t watched it on TV yet but the official YouTube channel of Mahindra Power Scooters has released the ad for public viewing. And interestingly, the TVC has received more than 2 Lakh views in merely 3 days.
The advertisement has been shot in Krakow in Poland and the Centuro comes with a tagline of ‘It’s Great to be me’. Through the TVC Mahindra has tried to portray the motorcycle as a rugged companion true to the DNA Mahindra’s SUVs are known for in India.
Centuro is powered by a 110cc 4-stroke motor that produces 8.5PS of peak power and 8.5Nm of maximum torque. Because of tweaked engine tunings, Centuro returns ARAI claimed fuel efficiency figures of 85.4kmpl which are phenomenal by all standards. We have taken a first test ride of the motorcycle and will share our experience shortly.
