125cc Phoenix bike. tvs launches

New 125cc Bike Launch –  TVS Motors has launched their all new 125cc bike named Phoenix bike for the Indian market at a launch event held in Chennai. TVS Phoenix 125 is equipped with an all new 125cc EcoThrust engine that churns out 11 PS of power at 8000 RPM. TVS also claims that this engine produces the best-in-class fuel efficiency. Speaking at the launch event, Venu Srinivasan, chairman, TVS Motor Company said that the 125cc engine was specifically designed for this motorcycle keeping in mind power and fuel economy. He also added that the bike complements several unique features to ensure ‘premium ride quality’.TVS-Phoenix-launch
Phoenix New Fuel Efficient 125cc Bike – arriving in showrooms from October, 2012
The TVS Phoenix claims an official fuel efficiency figure of over 67 kmpl under standard riding conditions which is very impressive considering the hefty power output from a 125cc engine. It is mated to a 4 speed manual gearbox. It also gets a 5 step adjustable series spring suspension and a high response damper. It gets optional rotopetal discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The instrument cluster features digital speedometer, digital fuel gauge, low battery reminder, trip meter, service reminder, soft texture grips and soft-touch switchgear. The company has also equipped it with hazard lamps to enhance rider safety. The bike will become available all across India from next month.
Phoenix Models, Colors and Price Details
It will be available in 5 dual tone colours- Moroccan Red, Alaskan Green, Helsinki Black Silver, Belgian Black Red and Oxford Grey. With the launch of this bike, TVS aims to get back to the game and grab back some of its falling market share. According to TVS, the launch of this bike also completes their motorcycle product portfolio. The Phoenix with optional discs comes at a price of Rs. 53,000 (ex-showroom, Chennai) while both drums will cost you Rs. 51,000 (ex-showroom, Chennai).
